One of my favorite things to create is a child with a horrible monster. What I really try to get at with images like this is contrast: innocent with ghastly. But I always like to throw a twist on it...is the monster REALLY the ghastly one? I really like when the viewer participates, as I love hearing things that I never intended for the piece, it gives me ideas for new ones;)

Yes, any young child that can climb to the top of a precarious rooftop could be a force to be reckoned with! The monster looks a little beaten down by life (or perhaps he just has bad posture due to his particular musculature?), so it's not too much to imagine that the child is capable of getting the better of him. Love this imaginative image that puts the viewer in the position of creating a story, which is always fun! f/v
